Barco launches revolutionary pure black indoor LED display

Barco, the market leader in LED display technology, announced the release of the new 4mm indoor LED display NX-4. At the 2007 International Audiovisual Equipment Exhibition (InfoComm 2007), Barco introduced the NX-4LED display module, which uses innovative pure black LED pixels to provide the deepest blackness that is not available on any product on the market. It will become the new indoor LED display. Display criteria.

For NX-4, Barco developed pure black LED pixels. It's not just a black package, it's a new design from the internal resin to the external shade. Utilizing pure black LED pixels, the NX-4 offers the deepest blackness that no product currently has on the market, with a 2000 nit light output and a high contrast ratio of 4000:1.

Pure black LED pixels are just one of the elements that make NX-4 unique. Its key technologies such as substrate, structural design and color processing have also taken the image quality of LED displays to new heights.

The NX-4 uses a carbon fiber frame to make it stronger and lighter. The support system with ten times the deformation resistance ensures that all three axes (X, Y and Z) are extremely resistant, which allows the LED display to avoid gaps and provide a seamless image every time.

NX-4's color processing capabilities have also reached a new level in the industry, with 16-bit processing, all three colors simultaneously with a new "three-color" calibration, covering a larger gamut space, actually even wider than the HDTV standard, so throughout The display surface presents an image of uniform color, vibrant, darker colors.

Barco released the new 16-bit multi-window LED processor DX-700 at the 2007 International Audiovisual Equipment Show to support Barco's current LED products and next-generation platforms such as the NX-4.

The DX-700 offers 16-bit processing capability and is a terminal device with modular structure and full-featured LED control. When used with the NX-4, it offers more color, more subtle features, and higher uniformity than ever before—lossless color depth.

With the DX-700, not only does the NX-4 LED screen wall have full spectral depth and uniformity, but the cabinet now looks brighter than in the past.

The NX-4 also uses the same small module concept as Barco's famous OLite series – allowing the cabinet to be used as a standard overall display or as a separate creative design.

Designed for demanding rental and showcase markets, the NX-4 eliminates the need for installation/service tools or cables. The interlocking system between the cabinets has also been redesigned for ease of installation, simplified electrical connections, and accurate "fastening" of the pre-locks to create a stable horizontal and vertical locking mechanical system.
