Basic recovery of electricity in earthquake-stricken areas

As of April 23, the major streets, key customers, earthquake relief headquarters, hospitals, government agencies, and residents' centralized resettlement sites in the counties in the Lushan earthquake-stricken area in Sichuan Province have adopted permanent or temporary power supply methods to fully power on the disaster-hit areas and the people. Electricity provides strong power protection.

At 14:00 on the 23rd, Liu Jie, deputy governor of Sichuan Province, was instructed by Shuai Junqing, deputy general manager of the company's deputy general manager who coordinated the disaster relief work at the company's headquarters emergency command center. Shuai Junqing introduced the situation of power repairs and recovery, and stated that he will do his best to protect the electricity demand in the disaster area. Liu Jie praised the power rescue teams for rushing to the scene at the first time, timely resuming power transmission for the disaster area, and made important contributions, and expressed his gratitude for the company's strong support and assistance in the fight against earthquake disasters.

It is reported that 24 of 35 35-kilovolt and above substations that had been completely damaged during the earthquake have returned to operation, and 264 of the 10,000-volt and above transmission and distribution lines that have been suspended due to the disaster have been restored to 192. The earthquake caused a total of 186,600 customers to power outages, and 179,800 households have been restored with a recovery rate of 96.3%. Among them, Ya'an suspended 126,000 households, has restored power supply of 119.2 thousand units, and the recovery rate was 94.6%. All important customers have resumed their power supply. All areas outside Ya'an have resumed power supply. At present, all 45 command posts, temporary rescue sites, and 22 medical institutions in Ya'an have been supplied with power to restore power to the seven water plants in the disaster-hit areas, and 129 centralized resettlement sites have been provided with power supply protection.
