Recently, a robot named Flippy made its debut at the fast-food chain CaliBurger. It was developed by the technology company Miso Robotics and its main ability is to cook hamburger patty.
According to the introduction, Flippy can be installed in less than 5 minutes, and its sensors and cameras will provide visual capabilities. Compared with human employees, Flippy guarantees every hamburger patties produced is perfect.
"As with self-driving cars, our system continues to learn based on our own experience, thereby enhancing our own capabilities," said David Zito, president of Miso Robotics.
When it is detected that the patties are cooked, Flippy will place them on the bread. Afterwards, human staff can add other ingredients.
It is reported that CaliBurger will continue to adopt more Flippy robots next year. By 2019, they plan to install 50 Flippy in their restaurants around the world.
