GE Introduces RadiantRed's Patented Technology for a wider color gamut and a more realistic red color

Recently, GE launched the wide color gamut, which can be used in RadiantRed technology for mobile phones, tablets, computers and TVs. It provides LCD backlight display with a wider color gamut as a whole and a more realistic red color.

This technology allows screen makers to create the brightest and brightest LED HD display screens that can be used in a variety of devices, including next-generation mobile devices and high dynamic range imaging (HDR) TVs.

The RadiantRed technology uses potassium hexafluorosilicate Mn4+ (PFS) phosphors to provide the narrowest range of red light into the LED backlight, which results in a better quality than the standard. This breakthrough quality enhancement brings a broader overall color to the LED-backlit display, enhanced red saturation (Saturation), and a stronger contrast.

Lisa Ward, director of GE's PFS business unit at Current, said: "To achieve the perfect red effect has always been one of the challenges for LED display manufacturers, because it represents a trade-off between screen brightness and appearance, because the red effect will look biased. Orange or darker. GE's patented RadiantRed technology solves this problem by selecting the brightest red and using a wide color gamut to enhance picture quality. We have more than 50 years of experience in phosphor development. And GE broke through the restrictions this time, using technology to effectively integrate brighter, immersive colors into the general LED package."

RadiantRed takes the system's single-wafer technology for unrestricted applications, works closely with other parts, and can replace LCD displays in a one-to-one manner. At present, GE has a total of 10 single-chip technology suppliers who have completed patent licensing and are providing such products. At the same time, this technology is also recognized by RoHS.
