HTC participates in tablet machine melee

The tablet market is really busy. In addition to Apple and Samsung, Motorola, RIM, LG and other traditional mobile phone manufacturers have to join the melee. HTC naturally does not want to fall behind. They have begun to pave the way for the release of their tablet.

Last week, HTC applied to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the "HTC Scribe" trademark and the word "Scribe" trademark. The scope of application includes "handheld wireless devices, that is, tablet computers."

According to Taiwan’s Electronic Times, HTC’s tablet will use NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, 2GB of built-in memory, support for MicroSD memory card expansion, and the next-generation Android cellular system.

HTC is expected to showcase its tablet at CES 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show next week, competing with other manufacturers' tablet products.
