Tablets will help boost NAND flash memory next year

According to the state-of-the-art research company of memory chips, state-of-the-art technology, NAND flash memory chips used in tablet computers will exceed 10% in the next year, which will be the main driving force for the growth of NAND flash memory demand next year. Coupled with smart phones, the two most popular electronic products will become the protagonists of the flash memory market in 2011.

Jibang Technology stated that with tablet computers currently being developed and will be released in the first half of next year, more than 80% of the world's major tablet products will use NAND flash memory as the storage medium, with the most popular capacities being 16GB and 32GB.

In the future, there will be more PCs and mobile phone manufacturers preparing to launch similar tablet products in the second half of next year. With Google's open source system Android more mature, next year's tablet penetration rate will be more rapid.

Jibang Technology expects that the shipments of tablet computers will reach 50 million units next year, which greatly exceeds the previous forecast of 15 million units.
