Vishay's CZB series of thick diaphragm attenuators with balanced π filters save space and simplify manufacturing processes

Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new surface mount thick diaphragm attenuator with a balanced p-filter circuit, CZB . The Vishay Dale CZB attenuator is packaged in a resistor array that can replace three or more discrete components, reducing board space and simplifying manufacturing processes in communications and mobile wireless products.

The attenuator released today is a single-device solution with excellent tolerance matching and temperature tracking performance to improve performance in signal attenuation applications. The CZB attenuator has an attenuation range from 1.0dB to 10.0dB with attenuation tolerances as low as ±0.3dB.

The attenuator has a maximum power consumption of 0.075W at +70°C, a frequency of 3GHz, and impedances of 50Ω and 75Ω. The device is RoHS compliant and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C.

Samples of the CZB attenuator are available now and are in volume production with lead times of eight weeks to ten weeks.
