The Red Sword Group located at Hongshan Farm, Xiaoshan, is responsible for the installation and maintenance of LED street lights at Xiaoshanshan Mountain Tunnel. Zhu Fengping, head of the Red Sword LED project, said that before the renovation, Xishan Tunnel will consume 35 kilowatts per year and only 13 kilowatts will be needed after the transformation. “The Xishan Tunnel LED transformation has been operating since 2009 and only one-third of the original power is required to guarantee operation.”

In July 2008, the Red Sword LED project went live, which changed the red-sword group's polyester-led industrial structure and began to enter the new energy industry.

Recently, Red Sword's 80,000 high-power LED lighting products were awarded the Zhejiang Provincial Special Award for Circular Economy Development. It is the only project selected in Xiaoshan District, and it has taken the lead in entering the Tianjin, Zhejiang and Hangzhou government procurement catalogs.

Zhu Fengping said that at present, the production costs of new LED lighting products are still very high, and there are still some difficulties in using them in large areas.

In order to promote LED street lights, Red Sword changed all the street lights in the factory into LED street lights. At present, LED lighting has been used in Xiaoshanshan Mountain Tunnel, Hongda Road, Hongshan Road and other municipal projects, is expected to have thousands of LED street lights. "According to our comparison, LED street light energy is generally about 50%."

Zhu Jinchao, vice president of Red Sword Group, said that at present, Red Sword LED has granted 19 patents. “We use 20% of sales revenue for research and development.” Now, Red Sword LED has cooperated with the LED industry R&D centers in Zhegong University, Zhejiang Normal University and other provinces.

It is understood that LED lighting applications are very extensive, metro lights, overhead lights and other municipal areas, but also in the studio, operating room and other special applications. Of course, civil use of LED lighting is also one of the directions.

At present, there are 6 companies engaged in LED lighting production in Xiaoshan, involving chips, packaging, and applications. Products have been applied to road lighting, tunnel lighting, subway lighting and indoor lighting.

However, Zhu Jinchao also stated that it will take two years for the large-scale reconstruction of LED street lights in municipal projects such as Xiaoshan Road.

In 2009, the State Council promulgated the "Opinions on Supporting the Role of Science and Technology and Promoting Steady and Rapid Economic Development," and demanded that "for municipal projects, speed up the large-scale application of semiconductor lighting, and promote the scale-up promotion of LED municipal lighting fixtures, and greatly reduce the power consumption. Consumption.” In the same year, the Ministry of Science and Technology also launched the “Ten City Ten Thousand” LED green lighting promotion demonstration program. Hangzhou, as a national LED lighting promotion pilot, also formulated a three-year action plan for the development of the LED industry.
