Below is a brief explanation of personally understood ISP downloads. ISP downloads mainly include the following ports: RX, TX, ISP, and power supply (VCC and GND). The power supply is mainly to supply power to the serial porting board. The power supply is provided by the target circuit board. The serial porting board is an RS232 circuit. Generally, the RS232 chip is used. Most of the chips are 5V power supply, so the target board needs to provide 5V to burn. Write board, under normal circumstances 3.3 RS voltage RS232 chip can work, but the work is not stable, there will be communication failures, so I do not recommend the use of 3.3V voltage to power the burning board.
The RX end of the programming board needs to be connected to the TX end of the target board, and the TX end of the programming board needs to be connected to the RX end of the target board. VCC and GND are connected to the power supply header and ground end of the programming board. The ISP can download the ISP for the board. On the signal side, when it is necessary to download the program through the ISP interface, it is necessary to pull down the pin of the chip (enable this function). After pulling down, the chip must be reset once before entering the ISP mode to download the program. Therefore, the chip needs to have a power-on reset circuit to ensure that a reset signal is generated after power-on and can normally enter the ISP mode.
