On January 16, 2009, the European Commission's Non-Food Rapid Alert System (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning to Chinese kerosene lamps. The notified country in this case is Poland. The two kerosene lamp brands notified this time are unknown, the models are KL-4COLORS (blue) and 2.L-888HG (red). Both lamps have a glass tank, a metal wick seat and a glass wick cap.
There is a chemical hazard in this product: (1) The wick cap of the KL-4COLORS lamp cannot prevent the younger child from contacting the wick; (2) The wick cap of the lampL-888HG lamp will loosen during use, causing damage to the oil lamp. This wick cap also does not prevent younger children from touching the wick; (3) The tank of the lampL-888HG lamp is not a leak-proof product and may expose young children to leaking kerosene. This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN14059.
At present, the Polish government has ordered the withdrawal of the goods from the market.
To this end, China Trade Relief Information Network recommends that domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
