(Analog Devices, Inc., ADI) Linear Technology CorporaTIon introduces the LTC7001, a high speed, high side N-channel MOSFET driver that operates from supply voltages up to 150V. Its internal charge pump fully enhances the external N-channel MOSFET switch to keep it turned on indefinitely. The LTC7001's powerful 1Ω gate driver is ideal for high frequency switching and static switching applications due to its very short conversion time and 35ns propagation delay, making it easy to drive MOSFETs with large gate capacitance.
The LTC7001 is used to receive a ground-referenced low-voltage digital input signal and quickly drive a high-side N-channel power MOSFET with a drain voltage between 0V and 135V (absolute maximum 150V). The LTC7001 operates from a 3.5V to 15V driver bias supply with adjustable undervoltage lockout. Fast 13ns rise and fall times minimize switching losses when driving a 1000pF load. Other features include adjustable turn-on conversion rate and adjustable overvoltage lockout.
The LTC7001 is available in an MSOP-10 package with lead wires configured to provide high voltage spacing. The device is available in three operating junction temperature versions, from -40°C to 125°C for extended and industrial versions, –40°C to 150°C for automotive grades, and –55 for military grades. °C to 150 °C.
