Aiming at the global problem of luminous stroboscopic LED when directly driven by AC power, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry and Sichuan Xinli Light Source Co., Ltd. cooperated in 2008 to develop new AC LED lighting technology.
After more than 6 years of unremitting exploration and development, the team has developed a new communication LED technology with luminescent materials as the core. According to Li Chengyu, this technology has reached the international leading level, making my country the only country in the world that can use luminescent materials to produce low-frequency flashing AC LED products, and has strongly promoted the scientific research and industrial development of my country's AC LEDs, especially rare earth AC LED luminescent materials. .
At present, the project results have been successfully transformed in Sichuan Xinli Light Source Co., Ltd. and Zhongke Optoelectronics (Changchun) Co., Ltd., forming four categories of products such as bulb lamps, down lamps, tube lamps, and spotlights, and successfully applied to home Metro, shopping malls, hospitals and other fields.
Li Chengyu introduced that this technology product has simple circuit, low cost, good heat dissipation, high energy efficiency, and long service life. It can increase the service life by more than 1 times, and reduce energy consumption and cost by more than 15% and 20%, respectively. At present, the products have passed the relevant certifications of my country, the Underwriters Laboratories of the United States, and the European Union certification, and have been sold to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Brazil and other countries, achieving significant economic benefits.
It is reported that the results of this project have been selected as "2013 China's Top Ten Rare Earth Science and Technology News", won the 2012 British Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) "Energy Innovation" and "Building Environment" two nominations, and the 2013 "Golden Kangaroo" World Innovation Award, 4 Chinese invention patents have been authorized, 3 PCT (Patent Cooperation Agreement) international patent applications have entered the stage of substantive examination in many countries.
