Xiaomi Halo no longer Huawei becomes the new boss of Chinese smartphone

Market research firm Canalys said in the latest statement that in the third quarter of 2015, the shipment of smart phones in the Chinese market, the millet shipments fell for the first time, and Huawei replaced Xiaomi as China's largest smartphone manufacturer.

Canalys announced on Thursday that shipments of Huawei smartphones increased 81% year-on-year in the third quarter ended September 30, marking the company's first major smartphone maker in China.

China is the world's largest smartphone market.

In the past few years, Xiaomi has grown rapidly in the Chinese market by selling low-cost smartphones online and in social media.

Data for the third quarter suggests that Xiaomi may be losing momentum in the Chinese market. Analysts said that Xiaomi still relies mainly on the domestic market to achieve growth, and the slowdown in the Chinese market may make its outlook uncertain.

Wang Yang, research director of IHS Technology China, said that in the third quarter, Xiaomi's total shipments of smart phones were 18.5 million units, a decline from the second quarter. Huawei's smartphone shipments in the third quarter were 27.4 million units, which was also down from the second quarter, but (the internal sales volume has increased by 4% (refer to the previous data, it should be around 20.8 million units).

According to previously reported data, Xiaomi's overall sales in the first three quarters were 34.7 million + 18.5 million = 53.2 million units.

At the beginning of the year, Lei Jun had predicted the shipment of Xiaomi this year. He hopes that the shipment of millet this year will reach 80 million to 100 million units, an increase of at least 12% over the same period last year. In other words, Xiaomi must sell at least 26.8 million mobile phones in the remaining quarter to achieve the goal, which may be difficult.

Faced with the arduous goal, Xiaomi or speeding up the launch of new products, including the next pair of eleven, will also be a point for Xiaomi to strive to increase sales. Xiaobin President Lin Bin said yesterday that they are considering selling Xiaomi Note and Xiaomi Note Pro phones in the United States.

Some media analysts said that the red rice series has made a huge contribution to the overall sales of Xiaomi mobile phones, but at present, the Chinese market has a thousand yuan machine, the competition is too fierce, Meizu, glory has launched two high-cost models, and they also Learning millet in marketing, to a certain extent, has restricted the further increase in the overall sales of Xiaomi.
