Guangdong, Hong Kong and Taiwan to join hands to develop

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Taiwan LED Industry Collaborative Innovation Summit Forum was successfully held in Shenzhen recently. More than 300 elites from all walks of life, government, enterprises, and businesses gathered together to discuss the new cooperation and new opportunities in the post-financial crisis era under the theme of “competition and development under the global LED industry chain” to promote China. LED industry is among the best in the world.

The LED industry is currently one of the three major breakthroughs in the development of strategic emerging industries in Guangdong Province. In recent years, Guangdong's science and technology departments have taken independent innovation as the main line, endeavored to explore the establishment of new mechanisms and models for collaborative innovation, accelerated the “two breakthroughs” of core technology research and market application demonstration, and achieved sustained and rapid development of the LED industry. In 2012, Guangdong's LED output value reached 21.7 million yuan, and its output value and scale continued to rank first in the country. However, at the same time as the rapid development of the industry, the problems faced are also obvious. For example, some core technologies and key equipment are still subject to people, and the market awareness and acceptance of LED products are not high.

Participants agreed that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Taiwan LED Collaborative Innovation Summit Forum will promote the development of the Guangdong LED Industrial Innovation Alliance to a certain extent, and promote the investment in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Taiwan, technical cooperation, patent sharing, supplier relations, etc. Strengthen cooperation, achieve complementary advantages, actively respond to international challenges, and create the right to speak internationally in the LED industry.
