LED companies and Japan, Taiwan and other countries and regions have close technical cooperation, and have many independent property rights and patents in raw materials, LED cooling technology, etc., in the same industry. There are certain advantages. At present, there are a total of 9 LED lamp export enterprises in Dalian. According to statistics from the Provincial Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in 2011, a total of 1923 batches of LED lamps of various types were exported with a value of US$123.867 million.

Despite this, if the LED industry of our city wants to become bigger and stronger, we must overcome the following bottleneck problems: First, unify product standards. At present, there is no uniform product standard for the LED lighting application market. The products produced by different manufacturers are not compatible, which has become a major obstacle to the development of the LED lighting industry. The second is the formation of industrial scale. On the whole, Dalian's LED industry has a relatively small scale of development. Most of them are concentrated in the downstream assembly stage with the least profit. There are fewer leading companies and upstream companies in the industry. The third is to break through the technical bottleneck. It is suggested that relevant departments should increase support for the LED industry and focus on the development of the core technologies with advantages. Fourthly, the relevant departments jointly set up an LED testing laboratory to provide testing and certification services for enterprises in Dalian and the surrounding areas in Northeast China, change the inspection and supervision mode, and grant “zero time limit” guarantees for shipments of import and export products, helping enterprises to speed up customs clearance and reduce certification.
