The third type is other types of sensors that are used in VR devices, such as proximity sensors for wearing detection, capacitive sensing sensors for touch panels, etc., which have been widely used, and infrared cameras used for eye tracking, and gesture recognition. Sensors that implement AR functions may be used in future VR devices.

At present, domestic VR sensors are mainly imported from the United States and Japan.

At present, in the domestic VR equipment sensor supply market, the above three types of sensors are not domestically produced. The sensors currently used are mainly imported products from the United States and Japan. There are also companies that do sensors in China, but they are mainly monopolized by the big foreign companies in the global market.

On the reality level, although the cost of the display occupies the weight of the hardware cost of the VR device, the imported sensor does not impose a large burden on the cost. However, in the long run, if you want to further improve the VR device function and enhance the user experience, it is far from enough to study the sensor algorithm. The self-controllable sensor manufacturing may become the key to the industrial development. In the long run, the localization of VR sensors still has a long way to go.
