U.S. electricity transmission trading volume increased year-on-year

In the first half of the year, China's economic performance was generally good. State Grid Corporation operated a total of 2,889,300 kWh of electricity, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.2 percentage point from the same period of last year. Among them, the first industry's electricity consumption fell by 5.9% year-on-year; the second industry's electricity consumption increased by 4.4%; the third industry's electricity consumption increased by 7.2%; and the household's electricity consumption increased by 5.4%.

In the first half of the year, the national power market traded at 219.048 billion kWh, an increase of 11.53% year-on-year. Among them, the UHV power transmission trading volume reached 47.88 billion kWh, an increase of 102.79% year-on-year, accounting for 16.45% of the national power market's trading volume. In the first half of the year, State Grid Corporation's trans-regional and inter-provincial transaction power totaled 316,800,000 GWh, an increase of 9.29% year-on-year. Among them, through inter-regional transactions, the total transmission of electricity to the “Sanhua” region was 164.7 billion kilowatt-hours, which reduced the burning of standard coal in the “Sanhua” region by 56.01 million tons and reduced local carbon dioxide emissions by 145.63 million tons. The State Grid Corporation of China has transferred 18.7 billion kWh and 10.5 billion kWh to Beijing and Shanghai respectively through cross-regional transactions, reducing local standard coal burning by 6.35 million tons and 3.56 million tons, and reducing local carbon emissions by 16.52 million tons and 925 million tons.
