The price of lead materials is not to be outdone, and the increase rate has reached about 10% in the same period.
Like other industries, the lighting industry will face many difficulties and confusions in the rising winds of raw materials.
Soaring prices after the Spring Festival
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on February 19, in the January 2008 price index, cities rose by 6.8%, rural areas rose by 7.7%; food prices rose by 18.2%, non-food prices rose by 1.5%; consumer prices rose by 8.5%, The price of service items rose by 2.6%.
According to a well-known domestic media analysis, for the moment, the momentum of domestic inflation and economic overheating have not been tamed in time, and the future price trend is still confusing.
Since the price of copper has soared in 2006, the price of steel and aluminum has not stopped, and there has been a wide increase. According to Li Tingyuan, the person in charge of Ai Yao Lighting, his company has been purchasing steel products at Baosteel. After the Spring Festival, steel products have skyrocketed. But for different sourcing companies, the rate of increase is not the same, the lowest increase reached 36%, and the highest increase was as high as 50%. The price of aluminum has also increased by more than 10%.
According to the information released online by the China Iron and Steel Association, in the middle of February, domestic cold-hot rolling (the steel widely used by commercial lighting and engineering lighting enterprises) has risen sharply, and the cold rolling increase is greater than that of hot rolling. In addition to Urumqi and Changsha, the price of cold-rolled 1.0mm market is more than 6,000 yuan/ton.
However, according to the monitoring of major steel markets in 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country, steel prices continued to rise slightly in January 2008. The overall average price of major steel products was 4,966 yuan/ton, up 1.49% from December 2007. It was up 24.6% from the same period last year. Several major domestic steel giants, including Baosteel, Anshan Iron and Steel, Wuhan Iron and Steel, and Shougang, have recently raised their ex-factory prices for their products.
In February, the price of steel has risen so much that commercial and engineering lighting companies are facing the “small ice disaster†that has just passed.
